The most popular song from Tuesday’s episode of The Voice didn’t come from the artist who turned the most chairs. It came from Morgan Wallen, the 20-year-old landscaper from Knoxville, Tenn., who performed second on the show.
Blake Shelton trails the other Voice coaches in singers three episodes into the blind auditions. But he made his choices count Monday night, when he landed two of the three artists to earn four-chair turns.
American Idol promised to serve up better themes in Season 13. By better, I think they meant themes that give the singers a broader range of options, including the option to sing something current.
