* Alisan Porter, winner of Season 10, dropped an excellent new single called “Lungs” on Friday. As in, “let’s love at the top of our lungs.” Alisan co-wrote the song with Stefan Lit and Josh Logan; Jordan Scott Novak provided the cover art, which you can check out below. Writes Alisan on Instagram: “We are born to love and we are designed to give it out freely. The love we all deserve in our darkest time can sometimes only come from deep within. Or from the strength of our highest power. ‘When times get ruff and we’re not us. Let’s Love at the top of our lungs.'”
* Josh Kaufman, winner of Season 6, released a new single called “Levity” Friday. It follows “Lie to Me” as the second single of the year from Josh, who also released a cover of “Amazing Grace.” Josh has been performing regularly on Facebook live during the pandemic and also produced “Tell Me,” the recently released debut single from Trissity Jane.
* Cassadee Pope, winner of Season 3, teamed up with Dave Aude for a remix of the title track from her latest album, “Rise and Shine.” The song is ” about perseverance and getting through hard times by knowing that you’re stronger than you think … I love this new remix, how it gives the song a whole new perspective.” “Rise and Shine” the album came out in early August.
