* Nakia from Season 1 released a pair of songs recently. Pre-election, he dropped “Private Hell,” noting on social media that it was written by longtime collaborator and friend Scott Douglas “many moons ago. “It’s always been one of my faves of his. I exhumed it and put a modern spin on it.” Post-eleciton, he dropped “It’s Never Too Late” and promoted it in a “thank you” post to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on Instagram, adding “It’s never too late for things to get better for everyone. It’s never too late to start over and try again.”

* Grace Askew from Season 4 released “No Rock Bottoms” last week, a song she calls “my anthem on finding my way out of self-destruction and walking towards recovery.” The accompanying music video features footage from her 10-plus years of touring. “It seemed fitting to put together a montage of my true way of living as a ‘Tumbleweed Woman’ all these years, symbolizing the journey it took to get to nearly three years of sobriety and my new dream life in New Mexico.”

* Delaney (Silvernell) from Season 15 released “LA Song” on Friday. It’s about the difficulty of making a mark in Los Angles and she thanks producer Alisse Laymac and the others involved for helping “me pour my heart out in this one.” “LA Song” follows “Close” as Delaney’s second single of 2020.
