Since no one was cut this week on American Idol and since eight singers will be sent home when the show reconvenes, I’ve decided to re-rank the Top 24.
After all, we got to see each member of the Top 24 perform a solo (albeit brief) and a celebrity duet on the Sunday and Monday shows, and that helped separate some contenders from pretenders.
The top of these rankings will look similar to those I posted last week, though Ava August and Hunter Metts inched up a bit based on their stellar Top 24 rounds performances.
The biggest change is dramatic jumps for Cassandra Coleman and Beane, both of whom handled Idol’s big stage much better than I expected.
Remember, 16 singers advance to the next round.
Here are the new rankings. The number in parenthesis behind each singer’s name is where they were originally ranked.
