HunterGirl has been an American Idol favorite since the Season 20 premiere aired back in late February.
Heck, Luke Bryan called her his favorite female country voice in ABC’s five seasons of doing the show.
Not to mention a new age Miranda Lambert. Not to mention Top 10 material.
Oh, and on top of that, Idol presented HunterGirl with one of three platinum tickets, awarded to the most promising Season 20 cast members.
HunterGirl — real named Hunter Wolkonowski, 23, of Winchester, Tenn — lived up to all those expectations.
And Sunday night, she’ll square off against Leah Marlene and fellow country singer Noah Thompson in the Season 20 finale.
Each contestant will sing a Bruce Springsteen cover, an original (“Red Bird” for HunterGirl) and perform a duet over the course of the three-hour show, which begins at 8 p.m.
At the end of the evening, a new American Idol will be crowned.
