That would be Beach It! in Virginia Beach, a country music festival headlined by Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett and Idol judge Luke Bryan.

Iam played on the opening day of the festival. And while he’s not a country performer, his set appeared to be very well received judging from videos from the event.

Speaking of which, the ceecat YouTube channel has some excellent video from Iam’s show, including a nearly four-minute clip featuring snippets of the songs he said.

The site has since followed up with Iam’s full Beach It! performances of “Monsters,” “Time Doesn’t Fly” and “I’ll Be Seeing You,” the Idol single that bolted to number one on Apple Music’s Top 200 after his Idol victory.

Meanwhile, Iam seems to be making a concerted effort to get in front of as many fans as quickly as possible, a wise strategy fresh off such an impressive showing on Idol.

Iam had previously announced that he’d be returning to his home state of Hawaii to perform at the Ohana Day celebration. That’s July 1 at the Turtle Bay Resort, the same venue that hosted his American Idol homecoming celebration.

And he’ll be performing in his current home state of Washington with a July 15 show at Reggae on the Way in Tacoma.

The 18-year-old has now announced several more upcoming shows, mostly in California, though one will take him out of the U.S. In fact, he announced two more shows, including a return to the East Coast, Tuesday.

They include:

July 22 at Ventura Music Hall in Ventura, Calif.

July 24 and 25 at the Troubadour in West Hollywood, Calif.

July 27 at the California Mid-State Fair in Paso Roblos, Calif.

July 28 at the Catalyst in Santa Cruz, Calif.

Aug. 10 at Sunset Cove Amphitheater in Boca Raton, Fla.

Sept. 9 at the Holo Holo Festival in Sacramento, Calif.

Sept. 14 with Celebration Tour at Rohnert Park, Calif. Tickets got on sale Friday.

Oct. 7 at the Odon Festival in Auckland, New Zealand
