Sydney Sterlace of The Voice Season 26

Sydney Sterlace is among the singers who auditioned for Season 26 of The Voice.

The Voice returns Monday night with the coaching quartet of Snoop Dog, Reba McEntire, Gwen Stefani and Michael Buble.

Here’s more about Sydney:

* She’s a 15-year-old singer from Buffalo, N.Y., who will turn 16 during the course of Season 26

* She’s a junior at West Seneca Senior High School and has been performing in public for quite some time.

* Her YouTube channel features photos of her performing in Buffalo’s Got Talent in 2019. She made it all the way to the finals.

* The same year, there’s another YouTube video of young Sydney performing Christina Aguilera’s “I Will Be” at the Erie County Fair.

* In 2020, she auditioned for Acapop Kids with a cover of Demi Lovato’s “Stone Cold” and earned a spot with the group.

* She’s among several singers featured in a video cover of “This City,” designed as a tribute to Nolan Gibbons, a member of the group who died in his sleep at age 15.

* Earlier this year, she was selected to sing the national anthem for the Buffalo Sabres of the NHL. You can check that out on her YouTube as well.

* We won’t officially know whether Sydney turned chairs until her audition airs, but NBC has released a clip in which Snoop Dog tells the young lady: “I haven’t heard anybody that sounds as good as you. I’m just being honest.” It sounds for all the world like he’s making a pitch for her to join his team.

* Sydney has been studying voice at the Bello Voice Studio in Orchard Park, N.Y. The studio has been publicizing her upcoming appearance on the show, applauding Sydney because “she has worked so hard and is literally reaching out and touching the stars.”
