Kendall Eugene of The Voice Season 26

Season 26 kicks off Monday night with the coaching quartet of Reba McEntire, Gwen Stefani, Snoop Dogg and Michael Buble.

Here’s more about Kendall.

* He’s a country artist who hails from Texas, but is now living in Indiana, Pa. Kendall Eugene is the stage name for Kendall E. Kersey.

* Kendall hasn’t released music yet, but he’s working on it. He started a Go Fund Me in August to raise money for a debut EP.

* “I have worked my entire life to have the opportunity to be a full-time musician,” he writes. “My music is aimed to deal with real-world, personal issues and help others express emotion through melody.”

* In his website bio, Kendall says he got his start at age 6 when his father asked him to fill in for the drummer in the church band.

* He eventually began singing and taught himself to play guitar, bass and piano as well.

* Kendall endured some setbacks as a teen. At age 14, his mother was diagnose with Multiple Sclerosis. At age 17, he gave up a son for adoption.

* And he’s worked jobs besides music, including pastoral work and working on pipelines, according to an article in the CaliPost.

* In additiion to solo shows, Kendall performs around the Pittsburgh area with a country rock band called Renegade Revival.

* Kendall says his musical style is influenced by a trio of popular country artists — Chris Stapleton, Jelly Roll, and Zach Bryan.
