The Voice will wrap up its knockout round Monday night, then begin airing the pre-taped playoffs Tuesday night.

And, sorry fans, but I’m getting a really leery felling about how the rest of Season 26 is going to play out.

The episode synopsis for Tuesday’s show says coaches will only be able to advance two singers to the playoffs.

If so, that means only eight singers will advance from the playoffs. That’s the number of singers The Voice has had in the semifinals in recent seasons.

Could there be just two voting shows in Season 26? The semifinals and finals? After starting with a mega talented cast of 56?

If so, that would be a travesty and only the second time in Voice history fans have been limited to so little input.

Remember, it wasn’t that long ago that the fans started voting when the then-live playoffs began.

Anyway, here are the knockout matches we’ll see Monday night, though my guess is that the show will montage one of the five.

Team Snoop: ChrisDeo (2 chairs) vs. Mikaela Ayira (2 chairs) vs. Torre Blake (2 chairs)

Team Snoop: Aliyah Khaylyn (3 chairs) vs. Georgia Starnes (4 chairs) vs. Mary McAvoy (2 chairs)

Team Reba: Tate Renner (3 chairs) vs. Danny Joseph (4 chairs) vs. Lauren-Michael Sellers (4 chairs)

Team Michael: Jeremy Beloate (4 chairs) vs. Sonfronio Vasquez (4 chairs) vs. Kiara Vega (3 chairs)

Team Gwen: Sydney Sterlace (4 chairs) vs Jan Dan (2).

You’ll notice there’s only two singers in that last three-way knockout. The missing singer is Mor Ilderton, a lad from West Virginia who turned three chairs in the blinds, then was stolen by Gwen Stefani in the battles.

I checked Mor’s Instagram. He’s fine. He hasn’t posted about leaving the show. He is heavily promoting a Christian folk single called “Stranger” that he’ll be releasing Friday.

His absence sorta robs that knockout of all suspense, since Gwen still has her save. One singer wins, one singer is saved. Presto, Jan Dan and Sydney are both playoff bound.

Reba McEntire also still have her save and Snoop Dogg has his steal entering the final knockout matches.

No word yet on which team will perform Tuesday at 9 p.m. when five singers compete for two spots in the playoffs.

The playoffs will continue Monday, Nov. 25 at 8 p.m. with two teams performing and wrap up Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 9 p.m. with a final team singing.
