Page Mackenzie of The Voice Season 27

Page Mackenzie of The Voice Season 27

Her audition: Page Mackenzie, 32, Charleston, S.C., “Hell on Heels” by Pistol Annies: Page turned in a sassy performance and showed off a bit of rasp too, but it wasn’t until the closing seconds of the song that Kelsea Ballerinin and Michael Buble turned, almost in unison. Michael noted that Canada loves country music too. He says he was impressed with Page’s range. Kelsea said Page’s performance made her feel “giddy.” And she argued that she’d be the best coach to help a fellow female country artist. Page opted to join Team Kelsea.

Here’s more about Page.

* She’s a country singer-songwriter who’s released music as a solo artist and as part of a group.

* In April of last year, Page announced that she’d joined as the third member of the band July Moon, which also includes Braelyn Watt and Piper Bateman. The group describes their sound as Fleetwood country.

* And in June, the band released “The Highway,” it’s first single with Page as a member. Former American Idol contestant Vanessa Olivarez is a co-writer on the song.

* Mackenzie also has six solo singles to her credit dating back to 2019. The most recent, “She’s Gonna Kill Me,” dropped last January. You can check out the music video below. Also be sure to check out her excellent 2022 single, “His Guitar.”

* And she’s been a part of a couple of collaboration, including a 2023 single “Salt & Sugar” with Samee Cannon and Melissa Livingston that’s been streamed more than 100,000 times on Spotify.

* Page is from Charleston, S.C. She relocated to Nashville in 2016.

* Before that move, apparently at a quite young age, she competed on Season 3 of The X Factor (fall of 2013), earning yeses at her audition from all four celebrity judges, including Simon Cowell.

* In 2017, she won a Battle of the Beach competition, giving her a chance to perform at the Carolina County Music Festival that also included performances by Jason Aldean, Darius Rucker and other major country stars.

* According to her website bio, she’s also opened for country artists Lauren Alaina, Scotty McCreery, LANCO and Dylan Scott.

* As for her upcoming TV appearance, she writes: “For the 10 years of hearing ‘you should try out for The Voice!’ Here ya go.”

* She told The Voice her Nashville side hustle is as a party bike driver. “We just pedal (multiple) people (at a time) around, listen to music and make sure they have the best time ever.” She adds that she gets to sing on the bike for her passengers.

* Oh, and Page is dog mom to Winston Bishop, aka “thenashvilleweenie,” who has his own Instagram page.

Update: July Moon has released a wonderful version of “Hell on Heels” to YouTube. Check it out here.
