Here’s more about Canaan.

* He’s Canaan Hill, 17 years old and an aspiring gospel artist from the Dallas, Texas area.

* In his YouTube bio, Canaan writes: “I am a Christian, I sing, preach, and give encouraging words. I love to encourage people to trust God because he can do more with it than we can.”

* In an Instagram post, Canaan says he gets his singing talent from his grandfather. “The more time goes by the better he sounds,” Canaan writes.

* Canaan’s favorite artists are The Clark Sisters, a gospel group active since the 1970s.

* His favorite song is “Better Days” by Le’Andria Johnson, a song he covers on his TikTok.

* Speaking of which, Canaan already has more than 12,000 followers and 31,000 likes on his TikTok.

* One of his singing highlights to date was getting to sing for gospel artist Jakalyn Carr back in 2023.

* Writes Canaan on social media: “That was a dream come true for me. I was nervous cause, y’all, it is Jakalyn Carr. My voice wasn’t at its best, but I gave God what I had.”
