The 19-year-old was eliminated in the head-to-head round, when she sang “Radioactive” with Olivier Bergeron, who made the show’s Top 24.
“I may not have made it to the Top 24, but I’ve grown in ways I never thought possible,” Cali wrote after the episode aired. “You literally haven’t heard the last of me yet.”
Idol judges have now heard Cali on two seasons. She also auditioned back in 2022 at age 15, getting “yes” nods from all three judges.
That year, her Idol aspirations were cut short when she came down with Covid and couldn’t participate in Hollywood Week.
Cali is from Pataskala, Ohio, and has already released music. In fact, she released five singles from 2021 to 2023 and alternate versions of two of those. Her last release was “Not Over You” from June 2023.
“Since the age of three, singing has been my love, and I’ve been working hard to improve since 2015 when I began my vocal training,” Cali writes in her Spotify bio.
“My family has taught me to never give up on my aspirations, and I am very grateful for their unwavering support.”
Cali told the Newark Advocate she hopes to release new music soon and an album in the future.
She’s already developed an impressive fan base wih more than 147,000 followers and more than 3.7 million likes on her TikTok.
