Evan James from The Voice Season 30

Evans James is among the artists rumored to have earned a spot on Season 30 of The Voice.

The Voice returns to NBC on Monday, Sept. 21 with the coaching quartet of Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, Queen Latifah and Riley Green.

Here’s more about Evan:

* He’s Evan James Ward, a young county singer-songwriter, acoustic guitarist and “up and coming Nashville recording artist,” according to his Facebook bio.

* He doesn’t appear to have released music, but he heads to The Voice with lots and lots of performance experience judging from the show schedule on Facebook page.

* Evan is a graduate of Hartland High School in Michigan and is a public relations major at Michigan State University. He was one of two singers chosen to sing the national anthem at his high school graduation.

* An online bio indicates he’s been active in music most of his life, participating in musical theater, high school choir competitions and singing in his church’s worship band.

* He’s already built a pretty impressive social media following with more than 22,000 followers on his TikTok.

* His most popular clips there include covers of Chris Stapleton’s “What Are You Listening To,” Zach Bryan’s “How Lucky Are We” and “Great Expectations.” Check out the latter below. It’s an impressive vocal.
