Very little love for The Voice on iTunes charts

0

Here’s more evidence that the Monday night episode of The Voice was pretty awful.

The iTunes download charts for this week’s performances are downright dismal.

A week ago at this time, Juliet Simms’ version of “Roxanne” was number 21 on iTunes singles chart.

Two weeks ago at this time, Lindsey Pavao’s  version of “Somebody That I Used to Know” was number 23.

This week, the highest ranking performance from Monday’s show is Jermaine Paul’s “Against All Odds” at number 38.

RaeLynn is right behind Jermaine at number 40 with “She’s Country.”

Then there’s a huge gap before you find the first contestant from Christina’s team, Ashley De La Rosa, with that ill-advised take on “Foolish Games,” which checks in at number 83.

In fact, this week’s chart performance is a pretty scathing indictment of Christina as a mentor.  She clearly has the most talented of the two teams, yet she couldn’t coax a memorable performance from anyone on Monday night.

The other songs from this week that are charting …

* Lindsey Pavao of Team Christina at number 94 with “Part of Me.”

* Chris Mann of Team Christina at number 96 with “Viva La Vida.”

* Jordis Unga of Team Blake at number 109 with “A Little Bit Stronger.”

* Jesse Cambell of Team Christina at number 111 with “Halo.”

The only contestant from Monday who isn’t charting is Erin Willett, who murdered Adele’s “Set Fire to the Rain” in all the wrong ways.

And the fact that the performance isn’t in the top 200 on iTunes is a scathing indictment of Blake Shelton’s decision to cut Jordis and keep Erin.
