We’re just hours away from the first American Idol finals show of the season.
And that means it’s time to check where our Top 13 rank in terms of followings on Facebook and Twitter.
Now, while these numbers certainly are indicative of a contestants’ support, don’t consider them the final word on who will advance on the show.
A year ago, Angie Miller was far and away the most popular contestant on social media.
She finished third, of course, behind Kree Harrison and Candice Glover.
Here’s where everyone stood as of 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Sam Woolf and Alex Preston had a big lead in Twitter followers; C.J. Harris is the Facebook champ.
That said, some of the Facebook pages were newly created for Idol, meaning those contestants started over in terms of gathering Facebook likes.
For a look at my rankings of the Top 13, head here. Check back tonight for a live blog with song-by-song grades as the finals begin.
