And that song will be available as an Adam Lambert single on June 30.

It’s called “Two Fux,” as in “I don’t give …” and Adam, sporting bright red hair, dedicated the Jimmy Kimmell performance for late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury.

Indeed, you can hear Freddie influences in the new tune.

As for the message, Adam explained when he later dropped the lyric video on YouTube.

“My last project was about the chase,” he writes. “This time I feel the strength of being exactly, unapologetically where I am. I’m standing my ground to inspire my fans to defy the status quo.”

Fan reception?

Well, the song was number 60 on iTunes singles chart 24 hours after its release. It was number 20 on the site’s pop chart.

Meanwhile, Queen and Adam are touring again this summer. You can check out all the dates on Adam’s website or Facebook page.

Tour stops include July 30 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philly and July 31 at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.

Tickets for both shows range from $49.50 to $175; VIP upgrades are available.
