Kudos to former Voice contestant Adley Stump, who turned the release party for her new single into a fundraiser for the Children’s Miracle Network.

The end result: She raised $10,000 for the organization last Wednesday during a live Facebook show.

And she wound up taking a pie in the face, as she’d promised to do if the fundraiser hit that $10,000 goal.

Adley’s new song, by the way, is “Call You Mine,” which you can check out below.

It’s her first new original release since last year’s “Don’t Want to Love Him,” though she also released an excellent cover of Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” earlier this year.

Her Facebook live release party included guest performances, an appearance by Jack the Wallaby and an auction featuring items signed by Bob Dylan, Stevie Nicks, Prince, Elvis Presley, The Rolling Stones and others.

“I’m feeling especially blessed the last couple of days,” Adley wrote on her Facebook page Saturday. “Of all the crazy ways I’ve released each new piece of music to you all, this one was my favorite. Thank you for allowing me to be myself, learn myself, grow myself and challenge myself every single time.”

Adley was a contestant on Season 2 of The Voice. She landed a spot on Team Blake, but was eliminated after a battle round match against RaeLynn, a Top 16 finisher. At that time, there were no such things as steals on The Voice.
