October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and former The Voice standout Audra McLaughlin is doing her part.

Audra has released a fun, catchy, upbeat tune called “Put on Pink.”

The song is dedicated to her aunts, Donna Fritz and Joanne Apicella Pellegrino.

“That song means the world to me because both of my aunts are breast cancer survivors,” Audra said in a Facebook live chat on Wednesday. “This year will be four years that they’re both breast cancer survivors.

“That song is dedicated to them and those of you who are still suffering and going through your struggles with breast cancer. I hope my song can help you stay strong and keep positive.”

Ten percent of the proceeds from the sale of the song will go to Breast Cancer Awareness.

The single is the second released recently by Audra, following the superb “Boomerang,” which came out in July and was accompanied by a music video.

Audra was a Top 8 finisher on Season 6 of The Voice. She released a debut single (“Tennessee Cowboy”) in late 2015 and an EP the following April. Since The Voice, she’s also relocated from the Philly area to Nashville.

Oh, and Audra is also involved in National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month, which is also October. In fact, she’s an ambassador for an organization called Free2Luv and its “I Define Me” campaign.

During her time on The Voice, Audra shared the story of how she grew up with a learning disability and often felt like an outcast in school.
