Kris Allen will headline Hershey’s New Year’s Eve celebration on Dec. 31.

Now comes news that Kris will be the headliner at the New Year’s Eve festivities in nearby Hershey, Pa.

Kris, Season 8 winner of American Idol, will be the headliner that night, performing from 10:30 to 11:55 p.m.

After Kris finishes performing, Hershey will mark the start of 2018 by raising a giant Hershey’s Kiss — 7 feet fall, 80 inches wide and weighing 300 pounds.

That will be followed by a fireworks display at midnight.

All the festivities will take place at ChocolateTown Square in Hershey beginning at 9 p.m. and are free of charge.

As for Kris’ Christmas tour, it kicks off in Annapolis on Nov. 29 at Ram’s Head on Stage. Tickets are $27.50 and a VIP meet and greet is available.

Other shows in the area are Thursday, Dec. 7 at the Miracle Theatre in Washington, D.C., and Friday, Dec. 8 at Club Cafe in Pittsburgh.
