Ali Caldwell from Season 11 of The Voice dropped her first post-show single Friday.

Ali Caldwell released her post-Voice debut single, “To Be Loved,” on Friday.

And her vocal on the song will remind you why she wound up finishing in the Top 6 on Season 11.

“To Be Loved” is an R&B ballad written by Ali and writing partner Omar “O2” White.

Ali told Voice Views she considers it “the perfect song to cater to my newly acquired Voice fans as well as my pre-existing fan base. You get the Ali Caldwell who ‘dared to be different'”

“To Be Loved” is the lead single off Ali’s upcoming album “88,” which she plans to release this summer.

Pre-Voice, Ali released a five-track EP called “Heart of Ballads.” As the title implies, that 2015 release was filled with ballads.

Ali told Voice Views that her new album will be more diverse.

“As far as my music changing, it’s become more diversified and well rounded,” she said. “Heart Of Ballads was positioned as a project of slow songs directed at love. You will still get some of that on this new project, but you will also get some mid-tempos, some up-tempos — a lot of feel good, heartfelt music.”

Oh, and a video for “To Be Loved” is also coming. It’s complete and was filmed in Europe, Ali said.

Ali was 28 when she auditioned for The Voice. She turned all four coaches’ chairs with her blind audition performance of Ariana Grande’s “Dangerous Woman.”

En route to her Top 6 finish, she twice cracked the Top 15 on iTunes, with covers of Mariah Carey’s “Without You” and Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You.”
