Amanda Brown, a standout on Season 3 of The Voice, has released her first original since 2013.

It was back in November 2012 when Amanda Brown mesmerized Voice fans with her rendition of Aerosmith’s “Dream On.”

Five-plus years later, she’s ready to mesmerize with her own brand of rock and roll.

Amanda dropped her new single — “Believers” — on Friday. It’s also the lead track off an upcoming album called “Dirty Water” that she plans to release this spring.

BigTakeover.com premiered the new song Thursday. She told the site her new single “makes me feel courageous and strong.

“Every time I turned on the television, I was saddened and frustrated by the news I saw and heard, so much so I simply stopped watching it,” she said. “That sparked the idea for this song.

“’Believers’ became an outlet for me to express my frustrations and inspires me to be more of an active participant in the world around me, if I care to see change. It allows be to truly believe in the power of hope and action.”

Amanda wrote the song with Colin Smith and Greg Tannen, and she’s getting to try it out live while touring with The Killers.

She started opening shows for the band last month in Houston. Then she sings backup vocals when The Killers take the stage. Next stop: Las Vegas tonight.

“Believers” is actually just the second original song Amanda has released since The Voice and the first since 2013.

But she’s been keeping busy as a background vocalist, including touring the world with Adele last year.

Amanda was 27 when she auditioned for The Voice and advanced to the Top 6 as a member of Team Adam Levine.
