And the young woman from Portland, Oregon, will be making her second try at Idol.
Here’s more about Audriana.
* According to her Texas Christian University bio, she started singing at age 6 and participated in musical theater throughout middle and high school.
* Way back in elementary school, she formed a band called AJ and the Rockers that performed around her hometown, according to her bio on the Katie Parr Music Academy website.
* She began classical training in opera at age 14 and twice won all-state choir honors while in high school.
* In 2013, she won the Portland Teen Idol competition.
* That prompted Audriana to compete on American Idol. According to that TCU bio, she made it as far as the Top 40.
* While trained classically, Audriana writes in her TCU bio that “I’m only truly passionate about pop singing.”
* She performed the national anthem at Olympic trials in Eugene, Oregon, was back in 2008, and more recently at NBA games for the Portland Trailblazers and Dallas Mavericks.
I haven’t been able to locate Audriana’s social media accounts, but will update this post when I do.
