Sawyer Fredericks, Season 8 winner of The Voice, has released his new single.
Sawyer Fredericks’ long-awaited new album, “Hide Your Ghost,” landed Friday.
It comes two years after his first post-Voice album. More important to The Voice Season 8 champ, he says it’s an album that’s fully Sawyer.
“It’s more of me planting my roots,” Sawyer told his hometown radio station 99.5 The River earlier this week.
“When I was on The Voice, I was singing covers. Also with the album after The Voice, I didn’t feel it was completely my style or my artistry,” he explained. “I feel like this album is the first that’s fully me.”
Sawyer wrote all 11 tracks on the album. He also produced the album.
And fans are embracing it. Twelve hours after its release, “Hide Your Ghost” was number two on the iTunes singer-songwriter albums chart.
In addition, Sawyer is getting rave reviews on Facebook. Here’s a sampling:

Tonight, Sawyer is celebrating the new album with a show at the Rockwood Music Hall in New York. Also performing, Molly Stevens, who we just met on Season 14.
