Miya Bass worked as a musician and actress prior to The Voice.

And she plans to pursue both avenues following her impressive showing on Season 14.

Miya hails from a law enforcement family, but opted to take a different career path.

She landed a spot on Team Adam Levine singing “Issues” during the blind audition, then was stolen by Alicia Keys in the battle round.

Her run on the show ended when she was pitted against four-chair turn recipient Johnny Bliss in the knockouts.

Here’s what Miya told Voice Views about her time on the show and her entertainment career plans moving forward.

Voice Views: I know the knockouts were filmed in early February. What have you been doing musically since then?

Miya: Musically I’ve just been gigging, singing at open mics, and private events and having music sessions with song writers

Voice Views: Where do you see your time on the show leading you musically? What do you have planned next? Do you think you’ll be releasing new music in the future and, if so, what can fans expect?

Miya: I see the show opening doors for me in regards to music and TV (I’m also an actress). I plan on creating music and attending a plethora of auditions. The fans can expect new singles and appearances on stage!

Voice Views: What was your favorite performance from The Voice and why?

Miya: My favorite performance from The Voice was my battle with Drew , “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” because the song was a great selection. Our harmonies were on point, and the chemistry was amazing! I got the best feedback from the coaches.

Voice Views: Do you think you grew as an artist as a result of The Voice experience? If so, in what way?

Miya: I grew as an artist in regards to learning to be myself. I’ve learned that being myself will bring me the most success.
