Holly Henry, aka Mooney, has a new single out called Float.

Holly Henry has released her first new original song in more than two years.

The song is called “Float,” not by Holly Henry, but under the name Mooney.

“Yes Mooney is 100 percent me,” she writes on Instagram. “I write all the songs. It’s my voice. It’s just a different genre.”

And she couldn’t have picked a more appropriate title for the first song as Mooney. Just check out the snippet below.

It appears a music video for the song will be released soon. On YouTube, Holly is also teasing an EP called “Dozy.”

And she’s launched a separate Instagram page for Mooney music, which she describes as “feathery, dreamy music written for sleepyheads in love.”

Holly first fascinated fans with her cover of “The Scientist” during The Voice Season 5 blind auditions.

Then 19 and from Minneapolis, she turned all four coaches chairs and cracked the Top 25 on iTunes with the song. She made it as far as that season’s knockout round.

She’s since released a pair of EPs and a 2016 album called King Paten.

And she’s watched her YouTube subscribers blossom to more than 700,000. An absolutely lovely cover there of “Sounds of Silence” has attracted more than 2 million views.

Here’s a snippet of “Float.”

I have been her fans since Late July 2016. She’s really so talented !

The first time i found her was from some cover compilation video and i thought she was just another cover singer so i don’t really bet an eye but once she started singing “La vie en rose”, her voice instantly catch my attention.

“Float” is a very good song. I have been anticipated this since she once start her Mooney project in November 2017.
