Domo from Season 3 of The Voice released the pop dance single Currency in 2018.

It’s an infectious tune about a young woman addicted to money and shopping, to the point where she winds up on a psychiatrist’s couch.

In an interview with This is 50, Domo confessed she found the lyrics relatable.

“I’m addicted to shopping,” she said. “The fact that I can sit at home and shop is amazing.”

As for her favorite destinations — they now run more Amazon and Children’s Place than Louis Vuitton. Domo now has a 2-year-old daughter named Zoey.

And congrats are in order. Zoey’s dad proposed to Domo over the Christmas holidays.

As for “Currency,” it was also in the running for video of the year honors thanks to an outfit covered in $100 bills, florescent dance shoes, some nifty dance moves and a gun that shoots money.

Domo — that’s pronounced Dah-moe — has produced a steady stream of originals since appearing on The Voice Season 3, including a 2014 album called “Domonation.”

I hesitate to call them the best because that’s very subjective. Besides, I easily could have made each of these lists five times as long and still omitted lots and lots of great music.

That’s why I grit my teeth when Marshmellow or Ann-Marie or even a coach or advisor winds up with a guest performance spot on The Voice. I’ll never understand why the show doesn’t do more to promote its alumni.

Ah, but this isn’t a time for griping. It’s time to celebrate the accomplishments of talented artists.
