Before stepping foot on The Voice stage, Hannah Kay released an impressive debut EP called “Magnolia to Nashville.”

Post-Voice, she says she’ll be working to get new music to her fans.

And the 2018 Texas CMA Female Artist of the Year said she’ll be heading back to Nashville to do it.

In the meantime, she already has three shows scheduled for April in her home state.

Hannah earned a spot on Team Blake Shelton with her blind audition performance of Loretta Lynn’s “Coal Miner’s Daughter.” She was ousted following a battle round performance of “Tequila” with Andrew Sevener.

Here’s what Hannah told Voice Views about her time on the show and her plans moving forward.

Editor’s Note: All answers are printed in their entirety, as provided by The Voice p.r. team.

Voice Views: The battle round was filmed in January. What have you been doing in terms of music or the entertainment industry since then? Has there been a specific post-Voice experience that stands out so far?

Hannah Kay: I’ve been playing shows and practicing, just to get better at my craft and I’ll be opening for Andy Griggs and Jamie O’Neal tonight (4/12) and I’ll be opening for Mark Chestnut.

Voice Views: Where do you see your time on the show leading you musically? What do you have planned next? Do you think you’ll be releasing new music in the future and, if so, what can fans expect in terms of sound/timing?

Hannah Kay: I see it leading me to Nashville. I’m currently packing and moving to Nashville by the end of the month. I will be getting back in the studio very soon.

Voice Views: Do you think you grew as an artist as a result of The Voice experience? If so, in what way?

Hannah Kay: I think I’ve grown a lot since the voice, my stage presence, and confidence!
