Well now, isn’t Tuesday night going to be interesting on The Voice?

I figured heading into Monday’s show, Maelyn Jarmon and Gyth Rigdon would be locks for the finals.

Maelyn still should be based on her performances Monday night.

But Gyth had an off night, while Dexter Roberts, Andrew Sevener and Rod Stokes didn’t.

And, suddenly, the battle for the four spots in next week’s finals seem a lot more interesting.

Based on Monday’s performances, here’s who belongs.

1. Maelyn Jarmon: She was superb both times she took the stage Monday. Barring a stumble, she should win Season 16.

2. Dexter Roberts: He had his best night yet in Season 16, and certainly sounded like the best country singer on the show.

3. Shawn Sounds: He closed the show in fine fashion and has been solid throughout the competition.

4. Rod Stokes, Andrew Sevener or Gyth (based on what he’s done in the past, not last night).

Here’s the thing. Only three singers make it to the finals on fan voting. Then the next three highest vote-getters have to duke it out for one of those silly Instant Saves.

So if you’re a big fan of any member of the Top 8, you might want to get your Twitter finger poised at the end of tomorrow’s results show.
