“This wasn’t what I expected on the first day of summer,” Laine wrote on Facebook. “My doctor confirmed I have Coronavirus, but my symptoms are mild and I’m home recovering in quarantine. Y’all stay safe & healthy!”
The 19-year-old from Louisiana released his first two post-show songs, “Ground I Grew Up On” and “Let There Be Country” back in April.
“Ground I Grew Up On” has attracted more than 1 million streams on Spotify. To celebrate the reception to those songs, Laine announced he’ll be really acoustic versions of both on Friday.
He’s also planning virtual shows Thursday and on Thursday, July 9.
Of course, those were announced before the coronavirus announcement, so stay tuned for updates.
Meanwhile, best wishes to Laine for a speedy recovery.
