The eight-track acoustic album is called “Rise and Shine” and will be out Aug. 7.
Those first two songs — “Let Me Go” and “Built This House” — will be out Friday.
To celebrate, Cassadee is hosting a virtual release party via Looped on Thursday. The event begins at 8:30 p.m. eastern time with a performance and Q&A, followed by a virtual meet & greet with fans.
Cassadee co-wrote all eight songs on the new project. She also co-produced for the first time.
“Rise and Shine is a collection of songs that talk about where I’ve been and where I’m headed,” she said via press release.
As for the decision to make it an acoustic album?
“I wanted people to hear these in their purest form so I went with a more stripped back sound that really lets the lyrics stand out. My hope is that these songs help aid people into feeling every emotion they need to let out.”
The album will be Cassadee’s first since “Stages,” released in early 2019. Cassadee won Season 3 of The Voice.
