New post-Voice music out includes singles from Jason Warrior, Darius Scott, Nike Hagelin and JChosen.

Here’s a bit about each of those releases.

The links below take you to the songs on Apple Music. Or you can check out the Spotify snippets at the end of the blog.

* Jason Warrior from Season 11 has released a timely and empowering single called “Breaking Free.” He serves up a great vocal on the song too. Writes Jason on Instagram: “I want to encourage you to #BreakFree from bondage, depression, oppression, racism, hatred, and all possible negative energies. Live a life of Love!” It’s the first pop single of 2020 for Jason following a series of three gospel releases. In addition to The Voice, Jason appeared on Season 2 of “The Four on FOX.”

* Darius Scott from Season 9 released a touching Father’s Day tribute called “Big Brave Man” on Sunday. It’s dedicated to his dad, who passed away last Father’s Day. There’s also an accompanying music video, directed by Darius. And Darius also wrote a tribute to his dad on Instagram that’s every bit as touching as the song. Meanwhile, Darius says he’s working on his first project as “a signed artist;” he just can’t say who he signed with yet. Congrats, Darius!

* Nick Hagelin from Season 10 has a new pop single out called “Baseline.” It’s his first single of 2020. Nick is also appearing in a Netflix series called “Sweet Magnolias” about three female friends coping with life in the small southern town of “Serenity.”

* JChosen from Season 12 released “So Blown Away,” his first single of 2020, on Friday. “This song I hold close to my heart — not only because I worked on it during the #quarantine and during a trying time for Black culture in America — but it also signifies a turning point of undying love that will never be forgotten,” he writes on Instagram. JChosen turned four chairs as the very first artist we met back on Season 12.
