Chevel Shepherd looked like a sure member of Team Blake Shelton after turning three chairs in her blind audition.

There was the adulation in her voice when Blake first spoke to her. There was the fact that she and Blake share the same birthday.

Even her parents, watching from backstage, predicted she’d join Team Blake in spite of a determined pitch by Kelly Clarkson to land the 16-year-old country singer for her own team.

Chevel surprised everyone by joining Team Kelly. And you might say that worked out just fine.

Six months later — the blinds were filmed in late June — the young woman from Farmington, N.M., is the last singer standing on Team Kelly as The Voice Season 15 finale approaches Monday night.

Chevel started singing at age 2, performed at rodeos growing up and at weddings and church and school events prior to The Voice.

Here’s a look back at her performances on a much bigger stage, that of The Voice.

Blind audition — “If I Die Young”

Battle Round (Montaged) — “You Look So Good in Love” (versus Mikele Buck)

Knockout round — “Travelin’ Soldier” (versus Sarah Grace)

Live Playoffs — “Grandpa”
