Adam Wakefield has released the first music video from his new album.

Adam Wakefield calls “As Good As It Gets” a simple song about what his life might have been like if he’d never left the small town in New Hampshire where he grew up.

So he decided the accompanying music video, which premiered this week on Pop Culture, should match.

“Get some regular people together, have a good time, and capture a truly authentic video in the process,” he told the site about his vision for the project.

“I’ve been seeing some really cool, creative one-take videos recently, and thought that approach would best communicate what I saw in my head … We didn’t overthink the song, so we tried not to overthink the video.”

You can check out the result below.

“As Good As It Gets” is the lead single off Adam’s impressive new album, “Gods & Ghosts,” which came out Nov. 30.

It’s the first-ever solo album from the 36-year-old, who had previously been part of the bands Old Man Brown and The Copperheads.

Adam, of course, finished second on Season 10 of The Voice.

Here’s the new music video.
