Sunday night, we’ll learn the identity of the other 12 members.

Well, actually, the show has already spilled the beans on the fate of two more contestants.

Olivia Ximines and Aliana Jester are Top 20 bound.

The judges wisely decided to advance Olivia,, 17, of Menifee, Calif., following her crowd-pleased Top 40 performance of Tina Turner’s “Proud Mary,” which you can check out below.

Aliana, 19, from Tampa, Fla., performed “This Is Me” from The Greatest Showman for her Top 40 showcase. Again, you can check it out below, but the performance is more difficult to judge because Idol interrupts it so often.

That means we know the identity of 10 members of the Top 20, including …

Guys: Nick Merico, DeWayne Crocker, Louis Knight, Francisco Martin, Jovin Webb and Jonny West

Gals: Just Sam, Faith Becnel, Olivia Ximines and Aliana Jester.

I feel pretty certain there are several other names we can safely add to the list — Arthur Gunn, Cyniah Elise, Lauren Mascitti, Makayla Phillips, Kimmy Gabriela and Sophia Wackerman.

Idol has a way of tipping its hand by the amount of screen time it gives contestants. And everything we’ve seen and heard from those six contestants has been positive.

Sunday’s episode will also mark the last pre-taped episode Idol had planned for Season 18. Matter of fact, the show we’ll see Sunday was bumped back from last Monday to buy Idol some time because of the coronavirus crisis.

The next two weeks, Idol will air “This Is Me” specials providing a closer look at the Season 18 Top 20.

And Ryan Seacrest has said the show is exploring ways to use technology to complete Season 18 since it looks like live shows will be impossible for the time being.
