American Idol’s Jax: ‘I have so much material I’m ready to put out’

after her elimination Tuesday night, Jax labeled it a “bummer,” but said she was also “kind of relieve, oddly enough.”

But the most original of the Top 3 had nothing but praise for American Idol, saying the show “changed my life forever,” provided her with a crash course on the music industry and adding that she’s sure it will enjoy an “awesome” final Season 13.

Besides, it’s not as though Jax will have tons of free time on her hand anytime soon. The 37-date Idol summer tour kicks off in a couple of months, and she’ll be traveling the country with Nick Fradiani, Clark Beckham, Tyanna Jones and Rayvon Owen through late August.

She also has a new single to promote. Though she didn’t make the finals, Idol had already released her possible coronation song, “Forcefield,” earlier on Tuesday.

“I’m proud of the single,” Jax said. “I love woman empowerment. It’s kind of like there’s this forcefield around me: You can’t mess with me. You can’t bring me down. I’m really hoping it gets to the chicks out there.”

And as soon as the summer tour is over, Jax hopes to head to the recording studio “and put out a record as quick as I can. I have so much material I’m ready to put out.”
