Two hours after The Voice ended in the East Coast time zone, it was pretty clear which song was going to be the night’s big winner.

By midnight EST, “Wherever You Will Go” had already soared to number 31 on the iTunes Top 200 for Andi & Alex and Chance Pena.

By noon EST Tuesday, their battle round cover of the tune by The Calling had climbed to 16 and also reached number two
on the iTunes’ alternative singles chart.

Andi & Alex were declared victors of the battle, meaning they advance to the knockout round for Team Adam Levine.

But Chance Pena, just 15 when he auditioned for The Voice, was so impressive he was stolen by Blake Shelton, meaning he’ll be in the knockout round as well.

Oh, and the chart success is nothing new for Andi & Alex. They also had the most successful song on iTunes from the show’s blind audition round.

As of noon Tuesday, when voting would typically end for a live show on The Voice, two other songs had cracked the Top 200 on iTunes.

“Samson” by Korin Bukowski and Chase Kerby was 91 on the overall chart and number eight on the alternative songs chart. Korin won that Team Gwen battle; Chase was eliminated.

Viktor Kiraly and Cassandra Robertson were at number 198 overall and number 13 on the R&B/soul chart with “Nobody Knows.” Viktor won the Team Adam battle; Cassandra was eliminated.

By that time, all the other songs from Monday’s show hit iTunes’ genre charts, including:

* Blind Joe and Blaine Mitchell are at #8 on the rock chart with “Old Time Rock and Roll.” Blind Joe won the Team Blake battle; Blaine was stolen by Adam Levine.

* Braiden Sunshine and Lyndsey Elm were at 76 on the pop chart with “No One is to Blame.” Braiden won the Team Gwen match; Lyndsey was eliminated.

* Evan McKeel and Riley Biederer were at number 149 on the pop chart with “Higher Ground.” Evan won the Team Pharrell match; Riley was stolen by Gwen Stefani.

Check back around noon. I’ll be updating the chart positions then because that’s when voting typically ends for a live show on The Voice.
