We haven’t had a new song featuring Carrie Underwood since her “Fighter” duet with Keith Urban landed on his May 2016 “Ripcord” album.

That drought is about to end. On Friday, Carrie will release her new NFL-commissioned anthem, “Champion.”

A snippet of the song was revealed during the playoff game between the Los Angeles Rams and Atlanta Falcons over the weekend. Head to Carrie’s Instagram page to check it out.

Reportedly, the new song features a vocal assist from Ludacris.

Sunday Night Football executive producer Fred Gaudelli asked Underwood to write the song for use in this year’s Super Bowl.

More Carrie music is on the way.

In the same New Year’s greeting to fans in which she talked about November fall at her home that resulted in a broken wrist and 40 to 50 stitches to her face, the former Idol champ said she was headed back into the studio.

“I’m determined to make 2018 amazing,” she wrote. “I especially can’t wait for you to hear the new music I’ve been working on. I truly believe it’ll be my best work yet!”
