Chevel Shepherd and Kirk Jay got prime performance spots in The Voice Season 15 semifinals Monday night.

And they made the most of their opportunities.

By midnight, Chevel’s cover of “Blue” was the only song from Monday’s show to crack the Top 10 on the Billboard 200.

But Kirk Jay was hot on her heels at number 11 with his show-closing cover of “I Swear.”

And when voting closed at 7 a.m., both had slipped into that Top 10 — Chevel at number four and Kirk at number six.

And a whole host of finale hopefuls were close behind, with Kennedy Holmes, Reagan Strange, Chris Kroeze and MaKenzie Thomas all cracking the Top 20.

And look at the genre charts. Chevel, Kirk and Chris took three of the top four spots on the iTunes country singles chart. Kennedy, Reagan and MaKenzie did the same on the pop singles chart.

In fact, every song from Monday’s show was in the Top 15 on a genre chart.

That sets the stage for a very interesting Tuesday results show.

The top three vote-getters by 7 a.m. Tuesday advance automatically.

But the next three will have to compete for the final instant save of Season 15.

Here’s where the songs stood as of midnight, with links for stream purposes.
