Chris Mann has released Noise from his upcoming album of the same name.

Chris Mann dropped the title track to his upcoming album Friday.

It’s a defiant, upbeat song called “Noise,” and follows “Gentleman” as the second song released from that upcoming album.

Chris wrote the song with Scott Simons and Willy Beaman “for a few reasons,” which he explains on Instagram as follows.

“1) we all need to scream out loud about what we believe in. Don’t be a wallflower. Make some noise.

“2) if you get f–ked over or walked on, stop smiling through it and saying it’s ok. It’s really not. Make some noise.

“3) If you want to really let people know who you are (not who they THiNK you are) then drop the walls and let them get to know the real you. Don’t hide. Make some noise.”

Speaking of number two, Chris has been doing just that in terms of a successful Pledge Music campaign designed to help support the album.

Like other artists, Chris is still awaiting the proceeds of that campaign as Pledge works through financial difficulties. Still, he’s promised a digital download of the new album to those who supported the effort. He writes about it here.

As for that album, sounds like Chris will be dropping the songs one at a time in the meantime. Next up, a duet with India.Aire.

Chris was a finalist on Season 2 of The Voice.

Here’s “Noise.”
