Christina Grimmie of The Voice Season 6

As a tribute to Christina Grimmie, her family and management team released a “Side B” EP Friday.

In music, when there’s a Side A, there must be a Side B.

But Christina Grimmie fans had to wonder if they’d ever hear it after the 22-year-old was fatally shot by a crazed fan following a show last summer.

Well, “Side B” is here.

On Friday, Christina’s family and management team released the followup to her acclaimed “Side A” EP, released in February 2016.

And by noon, 12 hours after its release, the new EP was sitting at number 20 on the iTunes album chart and number four on the pop albums chart.

“Side B” includes the single “Invisible” (dropped in February) and three previously unreleased tracks Christina recorded before her death.

Anyone who enjoyed “Side A” — I named it one of the best post-Voice albums of 2016 in spite of its brevity — is sure to appreciate the two brand new songs, “The Game” and a ballad called “I Only Miss You When I Breathe.”

The EP concludes with a new version of “I Won’t Give Up,” the Jason Mraz tune Christina covered en route to a third-place finish on Season 6 of The Voice. Wow, Christina’s voice absolutely soars.

I don’t know that anyone can sum it up better than Linda-Maija Lampila did Thursday on Christina’s still-active Facebook page.

“Christina has the best family anyone could ask for,” she wrote. “Not everyone would keep someone’s legacy alive like that. Thank you guys for making it feel like she’ll sing forever, despite her tragic passing. She won’t be invisible.”

If you haven’t heard it, here’s “Invisible.”
