Christina Grimmie’s family has released a new song recorded by the late singer, a finalist on The Voice Season 6.

Christina Grimmie’s family released a new original from the late singer and former Voice finalist last week.

The single is “Cry Wolf,” a song Christina performed just once live, at a show in 2012. A lyric video, which you can check out below, was also released.

Christina, 19 at the time, appeared on Season 6 of The Voice and finished third behind Josh Kaufman and country singer Jake Worthington.

She was shot while signing autographs following a show in Florida in June 2016 and later died of her wounds. She was 22.

“Cry Wolf” is the latest in a series of releases of material Christina had already recorded at the time of her death.

Those releases include a “Side B” EP in 2017 and an album called “All Is Vanity” later the same year.

Proceeds from “Cry Wolf” will go to the Christina Grimmie Foundation, which supports families affected by gun violence and breast cancer.
