Construction delays pushed back the opening of The Voice Neon Dreams.

And while that means no Chloe Kohanski when the show opens in mid-September, there’s still hope she’ll be part of the show at a future date.

That’s the word from Steve Webster, national publicist with Voice Vegas and a representative of Talpa Productions, creators of The Voice.

Neon Dreams will take place in a brand new theater being constructed at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

“It’s a brand new theater and they had construction delays,” Webster told Voice Views Monday afternoon. “It’s not moving into an existing theater. Where (The Hard Rock) used to have their restaurant, they completely shut that down and tore it down and are building a brand new theater from the ground up.”

And while the rest of The Voice Neon Dreams All-Star cast — Alisan Porter, Mary Sarah, Chris Mann, Matt McAndrew and Matthew Schuler — is still in place, the delay caused problems with the plan to have Season 13 champ Chloe join the show when it opens.

“When they started talking with Chloe and planning her calendar, that timing was not going to work,” Webster added. “It was going to work for her to do it in the summer. With the show being pushed to September, her record label and her management already has other shows and other projects that she’s got going.

“That does’t mean she’s not going to be in the show. It just means she’s not going to be in the show right now. They’re still trying to work out all the dates and with whatever she’s got coming up with her tour and projects and album. She’s contracted to be part of the show, they’re just trying to figure out when.”

The delay had nothing to do with ticket sales, which at one point were already underway for dates beginning in early June and running through the summer.

When tickets went on sale “they weren’t selling out, but they were doing fine. It was robust,” Webster said, adding that they tended to surge whenever Voice host and producer Carson Daly promoted the show on air.

The show’s new opening date is Sept. 17 and tickets are on sale through the end of December.

The show will feature the cast singing a wide range of fan favorites, from Michael Jackson to Johnny Cash to Fleetwood Mac. The lobby area will feature the show’s original four coaches’ chairs plus audition booths where attendees can record a song with hopes of joining the cast on stage or being invited to audition for the TV show itself.

And Webster confirmed that the plan is to have future winners join Neon Dreams as well. That includes the Season 14 champ.
