And 12 hours after its release it was sitting at the top of the country album chart and at number eight on the overall iTunes chart.

Little surprise. The 17-year-old swept to The Voice Season 4 crown with amazing ease for someone with so little experience.

And it was clear she had connected to an audience of varying ages when she performed before a packed crowd on the York Fair’s WGTY Country Radio Stage back in September.

At that show, she performed three new songs for the first time — “Dance Hall,” “Young in America” and “Daughter of a Working Man.”

All three made her debut album, and “Daughter of a Working Man” sure sounds like a hit.

Also on the deluxe version of Danielle’s album are four songs she performed on The Voice — “Jesus Take the Wheel,” “The Woman I Am,” “Maybe It Was Memphis” and “Born to Fly.”

Danielle told Taste of Country the song she was most nervous to record was “I Will Never Forget You,” because it’s such a powerful ballad filled with high notes she wasn’t sure she could hit.

Of course, she did.
