We haven’t gotten new music from Angie Miller since Season 12 of American Idol ended.

But that’s about to change.

Angie Miller finished third on Season 12 of American Idol.

This afternoon, Angie announced plans to release a holiday single, “This Christmas Song.”

The single will be released next Tuesday.

Angie, of course, finished third on Season 12 of American Idol behind winner Candice Glover and runner-up Kree Harrison.

Such a high finish wasn’t surprising. She established herself as a front-runner in Hollywood Week when she performed an original song, “You Set Me Free,” to rave reviews from the Idol judging panel.

That song was later released to iTunes as a single. Angie performed it and another original, “Put It On Me,” as part of the Idol summer tour set list.

She has also landed a gig opening for Christian music star Michael W. Smith on a series of December concert dates.

Those begin Dec. 1 in Murfreesboro, Tenn., and continue through a Dec. 15 date in Detroit.
