Danielle Bradbery recently released a new single called “Break Your Heart Again.”

And it’s a song that was co-written by another former Voice standout, Riley Biederer, along with Rob Grimaldi.

The concept is simple, Danielle says. It’s a song about a woman so in love with a man, “she’s willing to get her heart broken over and over by him.”

Danielle says she’s been there. And it’s that relatability that made her decide to record the song.

It didn’t hurt, she says, that she played it live before it was released. And got a fabulous reaction.

“For me, I’m always trying to put out what’s truly real to me and real for my fans,” Danielle says on Instagram. “Even though I wasn’t in the room when this song was created, there’s still something so special about listening to a song that you immediately feel something for, as if you were there writing it.

“I played the demo of ‘Break My Heart Again’ with the writer @rileybiederer singing, over and over again for a while. I could not let the song go from my hands and I knew I wanted to cut it.

“I had empathy for this girl in the song that was so torn from the heavy feelings she had towards this guy and what they were going through. I have felt it at a point in my life, and I know others have too.”

Released Jan. 14, the song already has nearly 500,000 streams on Spotify.

It follows Danielle’s summer 2021 single “Stop Draggin’ Your Boots,” which has more than 9 million streams.

Danielle, of course, won Season 4 of The Voice. Riley, who’s released lots of music of her own, was Top 24 in Season 9.

Here’s the lyric video.
