Pre-Voice, Foushee was part of the house band at Cafe Wha? in New York, where the likes of Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix and Bruce Springsteen performed.

Post-Voice, she’s planning new original music as a followup to her 2018 “Speak Up” EP.

Foushee was 28 when she auditioned for The Voice and landed a spot on Team Adam Levine with her cover of “Redbone” by Childish Gambino.

Her time on the show ended during a battle round match with Radha; they performed “Growing Pains.”

Here’s what Foushee told Voice Views about her Voice experience and her future plans in music.

Voice Views: The battle round was filmed in August. What have you been doing in terms of music or the entertainment industry since then? Has there been a specific post-Voice experience that stands out so far?

Foushee; Since the blinds I’ve been focusing on my artistry and doing a lot of writing, performing, and creating. The most memorable post-Voice experience was of course all the love I got from family, friends & fans. Another cool experience being selected as a finalist in the insecure contest.

Voice Views: Where do you see your time on the show leading you musically? What do you have planned next? Do you think you’ll be releasing new music in the future and, if so, what can fans expect in terms of sound/timing?

Foushee: Before the airing of The Voice, I released an EP titled “Speak Up” with a video for my single “By One.” It was an intro to who I am as an artist. I definitely want to create more visuals for that project. For my new music, fans can expect a more sexy, soulful side of me. I’m aiming to put more music/visuals out before 2019!

Voice Views: Do you think you grew as an artist as a result of The Voice experience? If so, in what way?

Foushee: I think The a Voice gave me very helpful insight to what actually goes into producing a large show. I also think I’m more comfortable doing interviews and sharing stories about my personal life now.

Voice Views: Is there anything else you’d like to add about your experience on the show?

Foushee: I’m grateful for the people I met during my time at The Voice. I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.
