The solo songs for tonight’s The Voice have hit Apple Music / iTunes.

The duets have not, which might mean those songs won’t be available for download or streaming.

A couple of other quick notes about tonight’s show …

1. These live finals will not be live. The show was pre-taped Sunday. Still awaiting word on why that happened.

2. In the past, there was Twitter voting for the duets, but that section of The Voice voting rules has disappeared. Not sure what’s happening there either, but I’ve got the question out.

3. Now we know why the Top 8 are singing songs by The Beatles tonight. It’s to promote the upcoming film “Yesterday,” which will hit theaters June 28.

Hmm, so we’re forcing country singers to perform The Beatles to promote a film that won’t be released for a month.

Hey, it makes about as much sense as everything else The Voice has done in Season 16.

I still think the Top 8 should have performed two solos tonight. Want Beatles duets? Schedule them for results night and cut all those insipid questions to contestants from Carson Daly.
