Dia Frampton and sister Meg of Meg and Dia have released a new holiday album.

The Voice live finale begins at 9 p.m. Tuesday and ends with the crowning of a Season 17 champ two hours later.

But at 8 p.m., The Voice will air a one-hour preview looking back at Season 17 so far.

Surprisingly, those “clip” shows filled with performances we’ve already seen drew fairly decent ratings in Season 13 and Season 15.

But here’s an idea. Why doesn’t The Voice air a Christmas special during that hour instead.

Invite back past contestants who have released Christmas music and let them perform.

Then mix in live interviews with the Top 4 so it will still serve as a preview for the finale that will follow without boring us with footage we’ve mostly already seen.

It won’t happen, of course. The Voice has shown precious little interest in promoting past contestants or their music — unless they’re the immediate past champ or have Kelly Clarkson to champion on their behalf.

But should they have a change of heart, there would be plenty Christmas music to fill a one-hour special.

Here’s a list of holiday music released by former contestants. I’m sure I’ve missed someone, perhaps many someones. If you know of newly released holiday music not on this list, email me at [email protected] or comment below.
