*** Favorite Tweet from last 24 hours ***
kevincovais (Kevin Covais from Idol Season 5): “Everyone keeps saying 2012 is ‘their year.’ I say 2013 is gonna be my year, because I’m pretty sure nobody has claimed that one yet.”
*** Lots of Idols at free concert ***
Planning to be in the Chicago area in the middle of the month? If so, this event would be worth checking out.
Blake Lewis, Allison Iraheta, Matt Giraud, Michael Johns, Didi Benami, Tim Urban and Brandon Rogers will be featured at a Rock, Funjet and Roll Concert at Union Station. Best of all, it’s free.
The event is a promotion for Funjet Vacations. According to a post on the Blake’s Army website, tickets are available by emailing [email protected].
*** Kimberley Locke a cover model ***
Kimberley Locke is the January cover model for Daily Venues Diva (Thrive In Your Curves).
In an interview with the magazine, the third-place finisher from Idol Season 2 talks about the EP she released in 2011 (“Four for the Floor”), how Idol compares to the new singing competitions on TV and her plans for 2012.
You can check it out here.
*** Pre-orders for Kellie Pickler’s new album ***
Kellie Pickler sent out a Tweet this morning reminding fans that her new album, “100 Proof,” will be out Jan. 24.
And those who pre-order through iTunes get an instant download of the title track, the second single Kellie has released from the album.
Early last month, Kellie announced the track list for the album and revealed the cover art. I’m hoping there’s a deluxe version, because the base album has just 11 tracks, which is just one more than her self-titled second album from 2008.
You can check out the second single below.
