And at this point, this would be a fair question: What has been the point?
Why should anyone have invested 12 hours of their time watching the first six weeks of this overblown, over-hyped mess masquerading as a singing show?
Eight — yep, eight — artists are returning Thursday night.
That includes three singers who weren’t good enough to land a spot on The Four the first time around, including Dylan Jacob, Ebon Lurks and Lil Bri.
That includes five singers who once had a seat on The Four only to lose it — Carvena Jones, Stephanie Zelaya, Whitney Reign, James Graham and Jesse Kramer.
Note that every single member of Season 2’s original four will be back with a chance to compete for the title Thursday night.
In fact, only two contestants who won a seat on The Four at some point during Season 2 don’t still have a chance to win, Majeste Pearson and Noah Barlass.
All the other eliminations from the past two months?
Ignore them. Pretend they didn’t happen. Because they certainly didn’t matter.
In Season 1, there were only four comeback invites. Frankly, that seems the wiser route. You know, make them a bit more exclusive. A bit more elusive. Not all-inclusive.
Otherwise, viewers like me might wonder: What’s the point?
